The Company implements the BCPG Kids Greener Project to promote ecosystem and biodiversity conservation in the operational area of the Lom Ligor Wind Power Project in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province by collaborating with faculty members from the Conservation Biology Program at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, and BCPG volunteers to organize environmental learning activities for Grade 6 students from 10 schools surrounding the project area.

The activities aim to cultivate awareness of nature and biodiversity conservation among young people through experiential learning, including exploring wetland and coastal ecosystems, birdwatching, and learning about bats and other living organisms within local ecosystems, to foster an understanding of the importance of natural resources and maintaining a balance among communities, the environment, and clean energy development.

In addition, the project contributes to enhancing young people’s knowledge and understanding of the environment and renewable energy, preparing them to become future leaders of environmental change. It also reflects the Company’s role in conducting renewable energy business alongside biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Benefits of the Program

• The biodiversity and local ecosystem learning activities were attended by 45 teachers and students, together with 27 employees and project team members.
• Enhanced knowledge and awareness of environmental conservation, wetland ecosystems, and biodiversity among young people in the Company’s operational area.
