Hazardous Waste Management Project for Deteriorated Solar Panels
The Company implemented a project to manage hazardous waste from deteriorated solar panels at its power generation projects and ensure their disposal in accordance with applicable laws. A total of 4,722.19 tonnes of solar panels entered the management process.
The Company managed the waste systematically, covering panel dismantling, sorting, collection, packaging, transportation, and final disposal. It worked with legally authorized waste disposal contractors and transportation service providers and monitored and verified information throughout the process to ensure Traceability and the safe, transparent, and traceable management of hazardous waste.
For solar panel transportation, the Company established strict environmental and safety control measures, including packaging and securing panels on pallets and in Big Bags according to applicable standards, preventing breakage or leakage during transportation, inspecting transport vehicles, and establishing appropriate transportation plans and temporary storage areas to reduce the risk of environmental contamination.
In addition, the Company places importance on the Circular Economy and is studying the feasibility of recovering materials from solar panels through Recycling and Recovery to enhance resource-use efficiency, reduce the amount of waste requiring final disposal, and support the long-term sustainability of its renewable energy business
